Frequently asked questions

Got questions? I’ve got answers.

  • I am a resident of Williamson County, TN and offer virtual appointments. In person work or home visits are available upon request.

  • Online therapy works similarly to traditional therapy but is conducted through digital platforms such as video calls or phone calls. Before your session, you'll receive instructions on how to access my client portal for paperless client intake forms and to join the session. Make sure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet, private space for your session. Bring any comforts you desire such as a cup of tea, a pet, and a cozy place to sit. No commute before or after means more more time to integrate the value of the session.

    • Safe and Sound Protocol or Rest and Restore Protocol without ongoing therapy ($1295)

    • Individual Therapy ($250 per 50 min and eligible for Superbills for Out of Network Insurance Reimbursement)

    • Discernment Counseling: One to Five Sessions ($600 for initial 2 hour session and $540 for subsequent 90 min sessions)

    • Couples Therapy ($300 per 50 min)

    • Ketamine Assisted EMDR ($250 per 50 min Preparation and Integration Sessions; $750 per 2.5 hour Dosing Sessions) Preparation and Integration Sessions are eligible for Superbills which can be submitted to insurance for Out of Network Reimbursement

    • Embodied Consultation for Providers (Eligible towards EMDR Certification) which can included access to Safe and Sound Protocol or Rest and Restore Protocol. (Pricing will be individualized based on needs of consultee)

    • Individual or Couples Therapy Intensives (Based on prorated rate of $300 per 60 min for individuals and $360 per 60 min for Couples)

  • I am a private-pay therapist and am not in-network with any insurance companies.

While I don't accept insurance directly, your insurance plan may have out-of-network benefits, which means that they will reimburse you for portion of the session cost. This is only available for clients seeking individual therapy and meet criteria for medical necessity (an insurance requirement that must be met before they pay for services)

During our intake process, I can help you verify if you have out-of-network benefits and how much your potential reimbursement might be.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.

Therapy with me is

A deeply curious conversation that is designed for you to increase insight along the way

Challenging at times because we learn to hold the emotions that we most want to bottle up

Tailored to YOU. Everything from the amount of time we meet to the services and type of therapy provided is customizable to your needs.

Funny and fun at times. We can laugh, in fact it will be better that way. We can also be sad together

Is a chance to meet the emotion of anger. I don’t believe anyone who tells me “they aren’t an angry person.” You just don’t know how to allow it yet.

Is a chance to grow for real. I’m nice, but that’s not the point of therapy. If you wanted to talk to someone nice you can do it with a friend or a neighbor.

Therapy with me is not

Just a place to vent about issues or blame other people. Good therapy must be more intentional and deliberate.

A place to intellectualize away all your feelings. We might start there but I will challenge you to start feeling.

A casual commitment. I work with clients who can set up a consistent schedule even if that means we choose longer, less frequent sessions or even explore an intensive model.

For those who can’t take responsibility. Increasing agency means accepting your part in everything that happens around you and to you.

For the faint of heart. My clients are typically brave and courageous and ready to explore.

A place to practice your people pleasing skills. I can sense it because I know the craft first-hand and we will work to find the truth together.
