Peel Back the Layers: Find Clarity, Heal Old Wounds, and Restore Your Nervous System
Reconnect to others. Reconnect to yourself.
Support your nervous system through gentle, layered healing
You know something isn’t right, but you can’t quite put it into words. Maybe you feel stuck in the same emotional cycles, overwhelmed by anxiety, or disconnected from yourself and your relationships. Your body holds tension you can’t shake—tightness in your chest, knots in your stomach, a constant sense of unease. You second-guess your feelings, wondering if you're overreacting or if something deeper is at play. Whether you're struggling with relationship uncertainty, unresolved trauma, or a nervous system stuck in survival mode, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Healing is possible when you learn to listen to what your body is telling you. Your intellectual self searched out all the information and found podcasts, advice, and books to read about trauma healing, But something isn’t clicking.
You’re tired of feeling caught in this cycle:
Feeling emotionally overwhelmed without knowing why
Difficulty trusting others or feeling emotionally safe
Saying “Yes” to all the things only to realize you lost yourself along the way.
Feeling stuck in cycles of fear, avoidance, or self-protection
Feeling frozen, dissociated, or disconnected from the body
A racing heart, shortness of breath, or tightness in the chest
Digestive issues or nausea with no clear medical cause
Sleep disturbances—insomnia, nightmares, or extreme fatigue
Hypersensitivity to sound, touch, or bright lights

Therapy designed to understand and heal the root cause of your triggers is the next step.
Trauma therapy helps people recognize and understand triggers like situations, actions, or feelings that cause strong reactions. By exploring past experiences in therapy, especially childhood trauma or unresolved issues, you’ll uncover why these triggers affect you.
Unresolved childhood traumas can cause stress and frustration in relationships with others and ourselves . Addressing these issues can lead to better self-awareness and emotional strength.
Let’s explore mindfulness, stress reduction, and emotion regulation. These tools will aid in staying calm and focused in demanding work experiences or conflict with others.

Common questions about trauma therapy and nervous system healing
-
No, this is much deeper than insight only therapy. We use an approach that connects with the core beliefs and where the trauma is stored in the body to release old wounds.
-
Trauma is a spectrum- it’s not a word reserved only for big, catastrophic events. It’s also not a competition. It can be helpful to wonder about these phrases:
Was there too much for too long?
Was there too little for too long?
Was there too much at one time?
Our nervous system can heal through most things as long as there was present and empathic witness to what happened. Sometimes, for no fault of their own, our own caregivers were not available for this important job.
-
We recruit styles of therapy that bring the unconscious into the conscious. You might be surprised at the real reason you become distressed and lose your cool. That’s why healing with another person is much more effective than trying to see ourself through our blind spots.
